WSES Physical Education
Our physical education program is designed for students to participate and have fun in a wide variety of activities that will offer each child opportunities for success as they learn specific skills associated with each unit. Our focus is on the benefits of physical fitness including strength, flexibility, and endurance gains. We also develop habits of daily exercise, good nutrition, and plentiful rest to ensure a healthy lifestyle for years to come. Individual P.E. activities include stretching, strengthening exercises, cardiovascular conditioning, and tumbling. Team oriented units include flag football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, kickball, softball, and track and field. In addition, students will participate in Fitnessgram testing, Jump Rope For Heart, and Tiger Running Club.
